FI*Herzlichkeits is a FIFe registered cattery since 2019. Before applying for a cattery name I have completed the mandatory course and acquired experience from the world of cat breeding.

To the wonderful world of pedigree cats I initially stumbled upon in 2015 when I got my first purebred cat, a ragdoll called Rollo. My first peek into the world of abyssinians on the otherhand happened through Aamos, who is my mother’s first pedigree cat (SC SP FI*Nebuankhet Nae Laird!). Needless to say the abyssinian swooped me off my feet at record speed and before I knew it my catshow hobby had started. The thought of getting into breeding had started to form at an early state already. As time went by the world of cat associations pulled me in and I have been active in different clubs administrations and currently in the rotutoimikunta (breed council) of Suomen Kissaliitto.

The community around these silly little cats only encouraged to dive deeper into this hobby and by some chance and coincidence Aamos led me into this world and I’m very happy that he’s in the foundation of my breeding.

The first Herzlichkeits-litter was born in 2021 January and has since grown into my current breeding programme. Before the first litter planning and pondering over every matter and aspect of breeding was carefully thought out with the help of more experienced breders. Without these valuable pieces of advice and support none of this would be possible, so the biggest thank you goes to their patience and guidance!

Hello World!

Fun fact: naming the kittens

I frequently get questions on how the kitten’s are named, how they came to be, what do they mean and is there some type of rule for it?

Every Herzlichkeit litter is named by using a theme system in an alphabetical order: A-litter has a theme starting with an A (Anime), B-litter with a B (Burning Boys) and so on. Additionally to honor the one who started this crazy journey, Aamos, in every litter one kitten gets to have an exclamation mark at the end of their name, just like Aamos, Nae Laird!

Breeding

The purpose behind my breeding program is to make sure, that the breed that I so utterly fell in love with would thrive and stay as close to the standard in appearance and temperament for years and years to come. I try to make sure to pay additional attention to the behaviour of kittens when choosing who’ll stay in the cattery, because for me, the abyssinian character is the most charming trait of the breed. In looks I stride for abyssinians who resemble the breed standard and only healthy individuals stay in the breeding program.

Breeder

My name is Jemina and already from a very young age cats have been a great passion for me. I got my first ever cat (a domestic longhair Rontti) as a 8-year old and after have never lived without a four pawed, whiskered friend. I’m an active show goer so it is fairly easy to spot me. If you’re interested in the breed, don’t hesitate to contact me!
